Late afternoon sun. Dock boards still warm under your feet. Somebody just came back with a fresh bushel and a cooler full of ice. The radio’s playing somewhere in the background and nobody’s in a hurry to be anywhere else.

A cold orange crush sweating in a plastic cup. Blue crab claws up like they know the deal. The Maryland flag catching a little breeze off the water. Sweet citrus, salty air, and the kind of easy summer day that seems to stretch a little longer around the Bay.

The kind of moment where the only real plan is another round, another crab, and letting the evening roll in slow. Around here, that’s what summer tastes like.
